--Mike,
I had my 300 G 15” wheels powder coated (black) about 14 years ago and am very happy with them. I have no problem with the wheel covers staying in place. I also have metal valve stems, they came with the car when I bought it in 1978, I believe they were original. The powder coat had held up well and there are very few scratch marks on the coating when wheel cover is removed.

Subject: {Chrysler 300} Powdercoating rims or not?
Hi to all
I finally have gathered rims, tires and wheelcovers (the D, G, H J covers) to convert the K to 15 in wheels. While I acknowledge this would not be original I am consdiering powdercoating the rims but was wondering how that will effect the grip of the wheelcovers if at all. At the price of the covers I would hate to lose one or more.
