RE: {Chrysler 300} Re: Antifreeze/water mixture ‘65 300L

I always use 50/50 mix 50% antifreeze and 50% Distilled water here in Minn. I try to avoid tap water because of the extra minerals, The main thing to remember is what does the antifreeze do ? It protects the system from corrosion and freezing. I also do not flush the system every few years. Antifreeze does not brake down only the additives do, so every few years I open radiator cap, check for deposits on rediator core tubes and antifreeze being nice green in color then I add Justice Bros. cooling system protector it neutralizes the acid in system and it adds rust prevention and water pump lubricant.. I restored my 1968 300 in 1990 it still has the same antifreeze in it I only add the cooling system conditioner.

I would advise you to go to the "No-Rosion" website and read about coolants and mixtures. They will tell you more than you ever need to know and they are straight shooters. I can give you my recommendation, but they are the real knowledgeable answers for your questions. We have used their products for over 30 years and have only good things to say about the firm and the owner. We use 25% conventional antifreeze, 75% RO water and 1oz No-Rosion per quart of coolant. Keep two years, add No-Rosion (same amount) every year starting with year three and change everything at five years. Use this on all the cars in the collection.

Hello all, after flushing the cooling system, what is the proper antifreeze and water mixture to refill after flushing? Getting ready for summer driving out here in Northern California. I grew up in the Prestone antifreeze days with my ‘69 Cougar and ‘76 Eldorado. This is my first mopar experience and loving it. Thanks in advance to all.
