
It sounds like the tailshaft seal is leaking. You’ll have to remove the handbrake assembly to get to that. Photo shows the seal on my 1958 Plymouth’s Torqueflite. You should check the 61 parts book to verify if it’s the same seal. Also, if the shoes have gotten contaminated, they will have to be replaced. There should be no tranny fluid anywhere in the handbrake assembly. Not a huge leak, but any ideas on what is happening there? Is it a seal someplace to look for? Thanks for any help.
