Background:
After reading the FSM, I understand/believe that the 300L is equipped with HD/Police brake set up. The difference, according to Ai, is that the brake system was not self adjusting.
I was really surprised to find that on the front & back.
Ai surmised that manual adjustment would produce a higher pedal feel and had less parts to fail on a Police Car or the High Performance 300L.
My problem and confusion is the adjusting wheels. When I started putting the rear brakes back on I found both sides had left side adjustment parts. Now I haven’t taken the front brakes off yet so I don’t know what those wheels are marked. They could be both right side for all I know ( I just thought of this possibility).
Could it be that with the HD/Police set up it doesn’t matter? There is a very heavy spring that sits across the top.
I did find spare/old parts that were not even marked R or L.
Below the photo shows, on the right, 2 L star wheels that were removed. On the left is from spare parts that were removed from later year Mopars. It was marked right but as you can see the length is shorter and the star wheel has finer taps.
May dilemma is buying a Right side, course spline, 3 1/2” long and where to find one
for sale.

The last question is, what do members do if they encounter the non self adjusting brakes? Do they upgrade?
