Anything they have in stock and just have to cut it off and send it to you usually isn't a problem. 

Anything they have to emboss or fabricate in any way is where you get in trouble. They are totally dishonest about the timeline and they know it. It's the only way they can keep the cash flow going to pay their bills. You will be in the "it will be ready in two weeks" death spiral for untold months.

But yes, I still order from them. So it goes when there are no alternatives.

I have a ‘64 R2 Super Hawk that needs seat covers in green vinyl and my usual source, Studebakers International, just informed me that their vendor can’t provide them (after I ordered them two months ago.)

I called SMS and they said they could (at about 60% higher cost) and will send me some samples. They also said a 2-3 month interval to get them (which I’m okay with.)

I seem to recall some club members saying they’ve waited years for things from SMS so was curious what the group thought overall?
