you can fix yours! open up , the tiny springs pushing contacts get rusty in the toggles , clean out holes and light
 oil  , fixed . I think rain water gets at once rusts them 
Earlier ones have clips / blocks but same idea , get it open( several styles)  
Post exists somewhere in distant past  on this 
have to be very careful pry back “dents”  that hold the back on , take pix how assembled or sketch  , R and L ends . Can go on wrong . 
Slow and easy does it . Need 4 hands to get together assemble level  , good tools 
If dents  break off , its ok , put back on again with epoxy .. If driver contact burned a bit swap with back one.

There is an OLD salvage yard about 30 miles south of me in central Texas that is crushing out and closing at the end of the year. They have a 57 Imperial 2DHT, good sheet metal, minus engine/trans/rearend for $900. They also have a 63 Imperial 4DHT, also good sheet metal, appears complete, for sale at $1750. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I can send pictures. If you have specific questions, I can go down there and get answers for you. The 57 is in line to be crushed.
