Time for a new thread instead of adding more confusion to the ongoing discussion of options on ram cars. ;-)
Looking at the press photos of the 300G engine bay, I see some things that I did not notice before.
In the photo, it appears that the heater hose that is laying across the rams is also right on top of the linkage for the crossrams. Am I missing something, or since these were 'press photos' was that corrected/changed on production vehicles? It also looks like the pulley on the alternator is a two groove pulley (on a non-A/C car?) and is a larger diameter than what I would expect to see. There also appears to be a rectangular battery hold down with a straight brace across the middle of the battery. I don't believe I've seen a hold down like that, either. Am I to assume these things are 'correct', or just how the press photos turned out? I don't have any pictures of the engine bay from the 71 mile G, and not being the original owner of my G convertible, I don't know how it came from the dealership, but when I bought it with less than 40K miles on it as the 3rd owner, it had a smaller, single groove pulley on the alternator, a different style battery hold down, and no heater hose on top of the ram linkage. Any comments?
