RE: {Chrysler 300} 1964 Chrysler 300K

I purchased the digital step-down transformer from Greg Garner and it has been working fine. Although the fuel gauge is showing less fuel than is in the tank, it could be the sender or a bent arm in the tank.

What I did was to remote the unit and clamp it to the bottom of the steering column so I could get to it if there was an issue without tearing the dash out.

At some point in the next year I will get a new tank with a new sending unit and swap it out and then I will see if the gas gauge is more accurate. Being an 1/8 off in ones favor is not a bade things on gas gauges 😊

Harry did anyone respond?  The sending unit is just a resistor to ground.  A couple things to check first- the 5-pin connector on the back of the circuit card- pull it off and put it back on to try and re-seat the connection for sending unit, this connector frequently gets a little loose or the pins oxidize.  Could also ground sending unit wire and see if your temp pointer moves all the way to hot.

Hi group  my temperature gage is not working, getting power to the sending unit, it happen suddenly, any tips would be helpful. If sending unit needs replacing it will require removing A/C, ugh.

Thanks group, Harry
