{Chrysler 300} heavy rain and a 300...

Hi All,

Drove the 300K up to our place near Lake Berryessa from San Francisco this morning. In the dark, in the driving rain. A true pineapple express rain event.

I REALLY need to order and get a new windshield into this car. Even a reasonable nice-looking windshield becomes a dangerous thing in the dark and the rain. Add to that the oncoming headlights that are much brighter than our old 300’s and at times I was nearly blind to the road.

On the plus side all the electrical upgrades on the car worked great in this situation The AC reconstruction was great to clear the inside of fogged windows. I note a slight low frequency thump with the compressor on at idle. I am hoping it is just the pressure wave of the pump and not an issue with my blueprinted compressor or the NOS clutch.

Interesting in that the factory defogger for the rear window (Thanks Murray) when wired as the schematic shows in not keyed to the ignition. One needs to remember when it is on low to turn it off!

Has anyone purchased a set of the Holley LED headlights on a 1963 or 1964 Chrysler? I would be interested to know if they fit in the buckets without any alteration needed.

Time to dry out.

Best, James
