I believe this is a car that was owned by a gentleman in Greendale, WI, named John Splude. He had the car "for sale" through his business JWS Classics a year or so ago. If you go to the JWS Classics website, under "sold" inventory, the vehicle is pictured. Mr. Splude owned the car for probably 8-10 years or so. I think he bought it at auction. He was initially going to bring the car to our Elkhart Lake, WI 300 meet in 2016 but I recall there was some issue about it getting concours judged and the car ultimately didn't show. Andy M. may remember more about it than I do.

Dan is correct, this was a former John Stallupi car. I don't know where the car went after it was sold by JWS Classics so I can't comment on whether the current ad is or isn't a scam.

Looks like a car from John Staluppi’s collection. The eBay ad has a phone number I called with a blocked caller ID. I got a very nice professional sounding woman’s voice on a voice mail.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet?  This G convert is up for sale (not ours and we don’t plan to bid, just passing along the info). VIN in screen shot image.   May be yet another scam where the “seller” has stolen images from a previous BaT auction and used them on eBay.  This car bid to $91,500 on BaT with reserve not met.   I have reported this to eBay, making the third one in several weeks; the other two were taken down.
