Looks like the printer was trying to accommodate the number of pages available in the folio. Adjusting the type larger would probably up the page count and it might not be an even number of pages. I am sure as a volunteer organization, they were balancing budget and readability for this publication.

As always great to get club publications in the mailbox.  I just sat down to review the 2024 club directory and noticed the print (font) to be extremely small.  So I compared at the 2023 directory and can really tell the difference.  I must ask, was there a restriction on pages allowed or a printer error in the font?  It looks far thinner and is difficult to read.  Hope this feedback may have others take notice and opt for larger print for 2025 as our eyes are not getting any younger!  Use of a magnifying glass is recommended.
