What the video does not go into are the mix and match with the parts over the decades by rebuilders. A couple of different displacements, a couple of different front bearing housings (large and small bearings),
and a couple of different blocks as to mounting (2 bolt or 3 bolt). The other thing that can bit you in the ass is oil system. The very late units did not use the pressure relief ball and spring. Several reports of people getting rebuilt units that burned
up in months because a rebuilder did not put in a ball and spring into the earlier blocks. I just spent months, mentioned it on another thread, rebuilding mine will all new parts.
