John, That would be the “correct” way to solve the issue. Mine was the quick and dirty way as at some point in the next year when I convert to FI, the entire thing has to go and be replaced by a cable for
throttle and kickdown…That said my way would probably last for decades.

I think I had that problem , I machined a brass stepped bushing with snap ring on one side , done . Probably can but such a thing at like mc master but easy to make.. ,,,

I used some plastic to metal epoxy I got at the local hardware store. Even the same color as the loose fitting, as seen in the one photo, plastic bushing. I just used a tapered
drift to expand that bushing out and then let the epoxy dry. I scrapped to get the paper towel off when it was done.
If that bushing falls out and it DOES you are stuck. This way that will never happen. If you ever need to change it you can just take a torch and burn the epoxy and old bushing
off and clean it and do it again.
