I could be wrong but I believe the Mirror-Matic was an option for all years it was available. I have one on my G that my brother Ed gave me as a gift, he found an NOS unit at a swap meet. Note that they are connected to the headlight circuit, as glare from behind isn’t a problem during the day, and the photocell would stay energized with daylight. I love my Mirror-Matic, it works as designed. The circuit is fairly simple, and there is a tube inside the mirror itself that can go bad, but I’ve never needed to change mine. Back when I would take my G to Hot August Nights in Reno, with the top down, driving through all the casino lit streets did make for a certain amount of Mirror-Matic action, so you can tune it out with the sensitivity adjustment on the bottom. It is a fun conversation piece, and does serve a purpose.

Was this mirror-matic rear view mirror standard equipment on a 300-H convertible? I assume it is intended to be self dimming. Does anyone repair these to work as intended? Thanks.
