{Chrysler 300} RE: Andy Bernbaum

Al,

I am finding that as the market for classic car parts has consolidated that customer service and taking ownership of what you sell is going into the crapper.

Take my headliner. I ordered it on December the 19th or 19th. I asked at the time for the outer time window on having it in my hand. I was told three weeks from January 2nd.  Fine.

I still do no have it. I sent an email a couple of weeks back and was told they are delayed but it would go out that week. It did not.  I sent an email today and was told it will go out in the next day or so.

What I worry about is quality going into the toilet, for a $400 headliner, if they are rushing.

I would much rather one under-promised like telling me it will take 3 months and then surprising me with it sooner than the other way around.

I was going to have them build my door panels. But with delays on a headliner, I am not going to bother. I also had to hunt them down about what was up with my headliner. Have they never heard of an OrderTracking System? They should and once an order is placed if it is not ready to ship by a certain date, they should be emailing or calling me not the other way around.

Another vendor keeps telling me next week on a new glove box. Then next week, then next week…

I feel your pain.

James

Just had a bad experience with Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts. Ordered what I was told was an NOS Mopar part and received an aftermarket replacement. When I called to return it, they told me I would receive a full refund but I would have to ship it back. After waiting almost a month for my refund, I called and they said they couldn't find the return but would issue a refund. They only refunded the parts cost and not the shipping. This leaves me out $25 for their mistake. I would be very wary about doing business with them.
