| I have only positioned my Bendpac 4 post once since assembly. Using the correct castors it was manageable for me to shove it around into position, but not easy. I’m not 25 any more but at 52 I’m still pretty strong and would prefer assitance if moving it very far, mostly because it tends to crab walk unless you are guiding it from both ends. This is without a vehicle on it. I understand you can move them with the vehicle still on the deck but you would definitely need multiple people if loaded, unless you are much much stronger than I am….and have sticky shoes.
Also, the air lines on these is to release the safety pins before lowering it. Nothing to do with the hydraulic rams.

When I do use it for service I don’t find the additional seconds to raise it to be a concern but if I were planning new construction, I’d ensure I had 220 service and an air line near where the pump sits. I measured my space very carefully and even made an accurate scale drawing of my garage, the three lifts I was considering, and the vehicles (including a vintage boat on trailer) that I would need to maneuver around it. I was then able to see how the lifts fit in the space and how well my vehicles fit in the space.
I didn’t opt for the sliding lift jacks to raise a vehicle off the platform for wheel or suspension service work but plan to build my own as the heavy duty rails are present on the inside of the runners and all I really need is a strong and safe platform to place hydraulic jacks.

I assembled it by myself with just a cherry picker and some cheap car skates to move the heavy stuff. One bit of advice is that you'll need a longer rental truck than you think you will. Quality seems pretty good and I like their design of the locking devices over the others I looked at. The only thing that I don't like is the heavy steel ramps, but that's only because steel seems to be getting heavier every year. They really aren't that bad. I want to purchase a lift, and would appreciate advice. While my preference would be an asymmetric chassis lift for maximum accessibility, I also want to use the lift for car storage. So, I think that means a “drive on lift”, with accessories to allow wheel removal etc. I have no restrictions as this will be new construction.
