Quick comment on the wing nuts on our Fs and Gs - Here's my email exchange with Don Verity on 7/4/2022 re the wing nuts on my F air cleaners -

On the F & G air cleaners, a question on the 2 wing nuts on each air cleaner -

• • I know the wing nut on the stud that holds the air cleaner together is painted gold.
  • Is the wing nut that holds the air cleaner to the carb painted gold or is it unpainted silver? My understanding is that this 2nd nut is unpainted, but I could well be wrong.

Speaking of wing nuts, these look correct for at least cross ram air cleaners.  😄

Being zinc plated, I’d paint them, or else maybe go with stainless or brass.
