Thanks for your suggestions. I bought a siphon hose that incorporates a small hand pump and plan to try that first at the tank. If that fails, I will have to go to the fuel pump end and try there. I run aviation gas, so there isn’t any ethanol in the gas.
I agree that an empty fuel tank is more volatile than a full one. I recall that back in the 80’s, there was a large fire in a Chicago parking garage that was constructed below grade. Difficult to control, many cars blew up because of ruptured gas tanks.
Their 1/4 full rule may be because of that event?
Either way, wish I had known before I prepared for winter storage. Full tank with Stable, no condensation rule. Fighting Minnesota weather further complicates the situation and my car is in the trailer ready for the show!! Bitch and complain!!

Seems like a partially full tank would be more dangerous than a full one. I guess you need to drive around the block a few times to use it up.
One way to siphon from the tank is to unhook the rubber line where it attaches to the fuel pump from the tank and siphon from there.
Thanks Noel for the acknowledgment, we are really looking forward to attending MCACN. There are several members of Midwest Mopars who are also attending. My main concern at the present time is getting 12 gallons of gas out of my Dart. The 1/4 tank or
less of gas rule surprised me. Difficult to siphon gas out of that gas tank by prior experience.

he loves to drive across the country - so much so that he put 9,000 miles on it this year alone. Nice ride!
