That is sad news. I never met him, but have used his resources from his web page many times. By sharing those resources with the world, he really showed his love for the hobby. 

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Webmeister John Holst passed to the next life on October 25 after a long and full life and due to a single-car roll-over accident in his Jeep a week before.
