If I didn't have too many cars to restore already, I would consider it...but one can only do so much. Lots of love and $$ needed to get this one back, especially if the seats need to be redone...where will you find the correct red leather??

Of those records that are extant, the number of H coupes that were built with 999 interiors is in the single digits (club member only info – not to be shared with general public – Bob can get you exact numbers if desired). Not all would have been red interiors. Maybe 2 or 3? How many are left? This is only the second one I have seen in 40+ years. Rust? Bondo? Heck, if this was a finned car someone would be all over it. “Rusty Mike” in MN, for example, could restore this car to concours condition – with ease. It probably isn’t rusty enough for him. Yes, it would cost you more to restore the car than it would likely sell for in the marketplace. So what. Most of us are underwater on our cars. It about the love of the marque.
I’ve said enough; sorry for the rant. I can’t take this car on. I hope that somebody can.

I agree that a combo of white over red interior in a 300H would look great! JYves

On a more positive note, it is a genuine H, known to the Club, and note that it is a 999 special order interior in red leather (maybe 1 of 1 or 1 of 2?), basically intact, complete, with A/C, seven button radio, etc. Possibly correct original running engine (looks correct at least, except for the oil breather cap/fill tube). Maybe only worth 6.5k to Ron, but hopefully someone sees enough value here to get the car and restore it. Can’t be very many 999 H’s around. Just my 2c

For a rusty car with an unknown amount of bondo in the quarters, that also needs mechanical work, I’d say his price is about 10K too high.
