{Chrysler 300} Door top trim spear direction ---Help!

I just started to put on the stainless trim at the top of the doors and ran into an issue.

 

Which way does the “spear” on the leading end go?

 

I looked at my photos and they are one way. I looked at the photos of my old hardtop and convertible and they are the other way. I went looking on the internet at all 1964 Chryslers and they are both ways?

 

Anyone know which way the spears left the factory? By the way the new reproduction nylon clips are working nice.

 

Placed one way the trim drops back somewhat mirroring the curve on the door. The other way they “flow” with the body.

 

Help!
