I agree John, all the same cable shifted transmissions for 1965 and both my ’65 300’s were later production cars. James, I’m not sure why you’re referring to push button vs. console when referencing the 1965 trans? 1965 were column shift or console shift only…..no push buttons. I have no direct experience with 1964 or earlier Mopars but presumed the cable shift TF in ’65 was a carry-over of that push button mechanism era and would be the same trans as used in earlier model years.
