We use BASF products in my shop-R&M & Glasurit. The flattening agent can be added in varying percentages to achieve different textures. We also use the base coat hardener to convert base coat to a single stage which will not have a high gloss. On todays cars we use the base coat hardener for under hood areas to match the factory, but it can be used on top surfaces as well. I did my F in single stage Glasso (nickname) because clear coat will scratch white which is more noticeable on black than other colors. If a small scratch is present on a flattened clear and not down to base coat , the panel can be sanded with scuff stuff and cleared with flattened clear again.
