Does anyone know if the later part number pistons are useable in the earlier compressors? The 1964 Piston number for the RV2 is one with the three reliefs in the piston done. The later pistons have six reliefs and can go in either way with reference to the reed valves clearance. I suspect they changed the part so that someone
did not have to think about which direction to put it in the hole. The rebuilders are no help. I tried asking them.
