I second Danny’s recommendation. Buy the best flooded battery you can, be it from Costco, Napa, O’Reilly’s etc. Flooded batteries look most original, are serviceable, and give the longest life. I have heard good things about Optima, but I’ve never owned one due to the non-stock appearance, high cost, and lack of serviceability. I get about 7 years from flooded batteries in my G, and boost charge about every 3 months when the car is not driven. Optima makes a good battery that will not tolerate overcharging which nearly all available regulators today do. I would go to Costco for a discounted Interstate flooded battery or Walmart. My opinion. Others may vary. However I have 9 cars for a long time and have learned the hard way.
