I have found a rather high failure rate in the last 10 years with new bulbs. Now all of those have been with 6 volt units. When I get old stock, they seem to last much longer. What gets me is I wrote the seller and asked if some did not work, would he send out replacements. That is not asking for a refund. It is the attitude of some of the sellers on ebay. Perhaps a reflection of our society today? I can tell you that in my last full time gig as head of technology for a brick and mortar outfit that had a lot of ships in yards in Asia, that the folks out there would fall on a sword rather that not stand behind their work. When I was
a kid in America it was like, but not so much anymore. Perhaps I should just punt and get LEDs? James From: chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
On Behalf Of Ron Waters TBH, I would just buy modern Sylvania bulbs and not worry about it.

Often with electrical items, they were stored bad and moisture can cause an issue. Also, sometimes when one see large lots, like with this seller, it could be that a batch had a manufacturing defect and got dumped on the aftermarket years
ago. One never knows. But the guys attitude of buy it and gamble bothers me. Now if he had advertised it as ornamental only that would be one thing… James From: dplotkin <dplotkin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I never considered the potential perishability of the incandescent lamp. Beyond vibration what are you concerned about? Subject: {Chrysler 300} sometimes eBay sellers drive me nuts...
Just venting… I wanted to try and find some older production 1004 light bulbs for the dome lights on the ’64. So I look on eBay. One guy is sitting on a number of 10 packs of the bulbs sold via shell gas stations. He states no refunds. So, I ask him if I order two or three packs and test them and some or
all of them test bad, will he send out replacements. The guy tells me to buy from someone else. I just love people who do not stand behind what they sell. I responded to him that he should change the description to boxes of light bulbs that probably do not work for shelf display
only….
