If the extra buttons are useful, then I would buy a core off eBay that does not work and use that for the conversion. I could buy an AM/FM radio but by the time it is rebuilt and I get the correct bezel for it and then get an
XM unit for it and the like, I would be into it for more than a conversion. Remember, this is to be a daily driver and a cross country car, not a Concourse car.

The car originally had a 7 button which was removed years ago. Fit fine.
