Jim, Give serious consideration to having your original cylinders (master and wheel) resleeved in bronze or stainless steel. It will cost more, but they will remain original in fit, never pit, and if you use DOT 5 silicon fluid as well, you will reduce maintenance significantly and maintain brake safety much better than standard steel with Dot 3 or 4. A belt and suspenders approach if you will. I did this with my G in 1998, and never looked back. I just flushed my brake system in advance of the Pasadena show, my last flush was in 2011. The fluid came out so clean that I questioned if it was even necessary to do so, but I flush every 7-10 years just in case there is trapped water. If there IS trapped water, the relined cylinder will not pit or corrode. Looking to pickup new wheel cylinders for my F. Found following sources and rough prices:
Anybody have any experience with any of these vendors for brake cylinders? Andy B. seems a bit pricey. Not sure if Dynamic Friction or Centric products are any good. Heard some negative on other Centric products. MoParPro is an unknown. Thanks in advance.
