Nick,As far as I know, there are no differences '57-'59 or Chrysler vs DeSoto. There are four total front door handles for these cars: a left and a right of course and then there is a specific handle just for the 4 door hardtop. The sedan/wagon/convertible/2 door hardtop handle should all be the same for the front, other than the side of the car of course.Having compared some side by side, I *think* the only difference with the 4 door hardtop handle is a different length (longer) "slotted strap" that connects to the door linkage and is riveted to the main handle casting - see attached example photo showing one 4 door hardtop handle and two standard handles.I have a number of spare handles and probably have something that wouldbe what you are looking for. I will take a look this afternoon.David FrankOn Wed, Dec 14, 2022, 11:53 AM Nick Taylor <nicksgaragesd@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:I've been trying to find a good drivers door outside handle for a friend and it's been a real struggle. Every one I've laid my hands on is broken or on its way to being broken.--The parts books show a lot of different part numbers but I can't tell the difference between the '57-59 door handles. Are they all the same? This is for a two-door coupe. Thanks, Nick
