Well, I found the screws. I went to put in the sensing unit and as I twisted it into position the capillary tube broke. After all that effort on the heater control valve. I will run it as is for now.
These things just do not stand up to the test of time. The copper in the tubes hardens with age and heat and crack. I am going to have to do an extensive investigation to see of there is a modern unit that I can re-engineer to fit and work
like the originals. I am tired of even trying to rebuild this old junk. James From: 'James Douglas' via Chrysler 300 Club International <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi All, under the car this morning. I am installing the rebuilt heater control valve. With all the back and forth with these valves I misplaced the two screws that secure it. Anyone know off the top of their head what the sheet metal screw
size is on these? With A/C this thing is a PITA to get in around the AC unit under the dash.
