I see a set of the bows for sale on eBay. The ends are in fact slotted unbeknownst to me, and the flattened areas appear to be different dimensions. But not tagged as to placement.
Don’t get me started on contactors…………………………………………

Hi Allan
No R -May be cable adjust . Can fool it sometimes by going to D and then fast to R , it is probably slightly out . See FSM
I know about unbelievably frustrating contractor or PO screw ups like this , followed by long song and dance .
Translation : “Dog ate my homework “
I have a 58 dodge I worked on that literally had 25? Things in backwards , Wrong , upside down , modified to fit etc etc . Parts or spacer washers left out . Can you believe he swapped right and left side front wheel cylinders , ( bleeder on bottom ) then made special brake lines as old ones would not reach . He Relocated brake lines and brackets on frame trying to make it reach Lot of work to recover from first class dummy stuff ,—Ed and I had to redo .
Or how about no kickdown rod at all? Throttle linkage made of bubble gum welds . . And wiring was a 2 week to fix horror show of bare wires twisted together under dash etc etc and many burned wires in harness .
Or motor mounts on wrong Side of engine tabs and ? swapped R and L .
When one of us encounters a fool working on our cars we should post it . Period .Paying a good guy is rewarding . Stuff is great .however , Less than half are able to think .
You got me going .. headliner is hard to get right even with out mixing up bows
Lately I think taking pictures is key and marking parts in the pictures as removed with magic marker too . I am getting older , you forget ….
Plastic bags too , etc
Ending on an up note , Custom Plating in Brillon did a fantastic job on a big array of parts , fair price , gorgeous chrome , fast turnaround for large amount of plating work needed .
A recommendation from Mr Merritt I second whole heartedly .
So a “good guys “ list starts ?

For 63-64 Chryslers, can anyone share some information about the three headliner bows? I suspect that the trim shop mixed them up with the installation of my new headliner. He claims otherwise.
The front seems OK, the center tighter and the rear a very tight fit in causing the rear cross rib in the roof to show through.
I am asking if anyone took note in the past or has marked a set out of the car who could comment on the placement of the large to small sizes? Parts book shows different part numbers, so each is unique.
I now want to know the situation prior to finally taking the car back in. Which I tried to do this evening
Went to back out of the garage, NO REVERSE!
A regular Joe Btfsplk here! Sheesh!
He thought he could just slide the rear rib down a little. Looking this all over this evening, (thinking I could also now move this rear bow) there are flats pressed into the lower mounting tangs of different lengths. I suspect he flipped them in order.
Many thanks once again,
Allan
