--I had posted back in May having brake problems on the K after having the remote booster rebuilt by Power Brake Exchange in Pittsburgh PA, I tried all the different suggestions offered and continued to have the same issue having brakes when the car first starts up, but after a couple of stops the brakes would not hold. My frustration set back in and the car sat over the summer. In Sept I decided to tackle the issue once again. I considered taking the booster back to Power Brake Exchange but decided against it.Since there was not any other re-builders that are relatively close to me I nervously decided I would have to send the booster to the west coast. I check with Booster Dewy in Oregon. I gave them the background and they said they would have to get back with me after checking with their re-builder. Never heard back. Then I reached out to Karps Power Brake Service in Chino,CA. Jeff said that they would be able to test the booster before disassembly and let me know. So I decided to send the booster to Karps. Two weeks went by and I received a call from Jeff. He said that while testing the booster it was working but acting funny. They disassembled the booster and found that one of the seals / o-ring in the slave cylinder did not appear right. He felt that this was allowing pressurized brake fluid to leak back towards the master cylinder. They replace the seal/o-ring in question, checked out the rest of the booster and shipped it back.Today I was able to get out to the garage and reinstall the booster, pressure bled the system and crossed my fingers. Now I have brakes that hold! Thanks to Jeff at Karps, And it just in time to put the car away for the upcoming winter!
