{Chrysler 300} 300K Dash Medallion

Hello All, Sorry we could not make the meet in LA. Sounds like a great event.

 

On my recent purchase of a 300K I noted something odd. The medallion above the glove box on the dash has a “K” in it.  My two previous 300K’s, are far as my memory serves, only had “Chrysler 300” in it. Since this was before digital cameras, I would have to go through a file of old photos to see for sure if my memory is correct.

 

Can someone with deep “K” knowledge advise me on this. It is a curiosity item of not any real importance.

PS. I have, but it needs to be transferred, a silent 8mm file of my old blue Chrysler 300K that was taken when the car was less than a year old. It may be interested if I get it digitized to take some high resolution images from that for things like tires.
