Re: {Chrysler 300} 300F console

Another thing you can do is spray the aluminum with flat black and then come back with 1500/2000 grit paper and remove paint from the ribs.  I’ve done this with other similar products (e.g 4-spd console on my 1967 442) with great results.  000/0000 steel wool is another option.

Love the 300G lurking in the shadows of Jay Leno’s video on the new 2023 Nissan Z posted yesterday.  Pic attached.  It says a LOT when this car is chosen as a backdrop amongst the countless automotive treasures in his garage.

Find a friend that gets their nails done and have the shop paint them. They are artists in detail painting. Worth a try.

Hi Kim,
Dave Schwandt is correct. On your F and the other full console years, the center rubbed piece had no black lines. It was the visual difference between the raised and depressed rows is a variance in the silver appearance.
Attached is a photo of my - Goers repop - console center.

Alright 300ers I have an interesting question. Had my console flat metal piece refurbished. Is there an easy way to repaint those black lines between the ribs. I ask hopefully? Thanks Kim.
