It would not be unwise to just put a dab of 2 part epoxy or weatherstrip cement on the back of the pins let it set up even with no clips . No one is looking at back of clips under the nose of hood? Even if just put on pins if accessibility issues Those clips are marginal , similar approach was used on letters on the large side medallions The F fell out of a lot on them in the past .See if yours can be wiggled . Impossible to find the “F “ or “E” compared to 300 say, today . Just another way to look at fixing it . Body shops do that and I have seen mopar with a dab of body “ dum dum” from factory on back as a way to seal up holes against water and rust . I think the F trunk lid has that ? Some used flat “ tinnerman” clips —they rust and release grip on pins , letter falls out . Just input…
