I think that stuff is bad , factory or not . Many 300 I have dealt with ( and Mercedes fancy rubber anti rust) are solid rust on top of the often difficult to get off undercoating . It only adheres in spots . Looking back over the years , best antirust thing is find low place with water in the floor drops while restoring and drill a 1/4 hole there . Maybe cement stainless washer around it from underside , attached with 6:32 brass or stainless screw . Then paint heavy with rustoleum . Rusty Jones all that stuff was just a $ ripoff . Keeping water out also means keeping water in , sitting under constantly wet rug padding on the other side.. the real problem . Mho J
