Bob Merritt has a video on his YouTube channel explaining the correct procedure to tighten the belt on this pump bracket that self-tightens as load on it increases. It depends upon a bushing that allows its self-tightening movement. Yours is likely shot allowing pump wobble. I believe the video includes advice on replacing the bushing.
