RE: {Chrysler 300} Greenwich Concours letter cars

Noel, you are a great Ambassador for our cars. It would be great for our cars if we can get them all there.

Hello!

I second the push to have all years' Letter Cars represented at the Greenwich Concours! When the Geneva (IL) Concours d'Elegance here in far west suburban Chicago featured the Letter Car marque at its August 2018 event, I was contacted by the Concours' organizer and was able to enlist 17 of the 21 Letter Cars (including a '70 Hurst 300) that displayed. Our target was to have every year and model (coupe and convertible for applicable years). We came close - only missed an H coupe and an L coupe and convertible. Our late friend Rolland Westra planned to show his black 4-speed L convertible, but his health issues nixed that. We had all 3 color - Platinum, Tango Red and Black - '55 C-300s, 2 300-C convertibles and 2 300-F convertibles. Joe Jordan planned to show his 4-speed 300-F coupe, but broken trans gears prevented that, so my local buddy Frank Troost stepped in with his F coupe. These Letter Cars drove or trailered in from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana as well as here in Illinois - as far as 350 miles away. So, really hoping our New England area members step up and sign up their Letter Cars!

I shot a couple videos of that Concours -

  1. With my buddy Lou Costabile on his www.mycarstorywithlou.com channel -
  2. And on our 300 Club's website -
  3. Also, photos of all the Letter Cars at Geneva with their placards, on our 300 Club's website -

Well yes, he needs stunning cars. However I won my class there in 2015 with a 56 Fleetwood with new paint and chrome but otherwise original, its no Pebble Beach car. I beat cars in better condition. I think he understands that with some marques he will need to take what he can get.

He has Danny Roy's D. He has a B he will take if he can't find a better one. Really need an B, E, H, J & K,

Hagerty owns this show having bought it from the founding family last year. That means it will get far better coverage from journalists, end up in the Hagerty magazine and our cars will be exposed to a world drunk on old Broncos, Camaros and Corvettes.

We have a new generation of cars enthusiasts that were not around even 5 years ago. They have money and curiosity. When I explain to these young people what a letter car is, and show them one, they are wide eyed. We have to go to work on these people to keep the Letter Car franchise in the front row of American collectables where they belong.

It was stated sometime ago these need to be primo examples. That remains? Also the D is missing?

Charlie Vrana from the Greenwich Concours selection committee called me yesterday pleading to find a B, E, H, J & K for the Concours on Sunday June 5 in CT.

He has secured an F, G and C. Its is a high profile show and we don't have many in the Northeast. I would hate to see him fail to  gather these cars. We need to promote our cars to the public!

Any of you far away who would consider coming and need logistical help let me know. I'm an hour and 45 from the venue.
