Here is how the “Crime Story” C looked in the spring of 1988, shortly after Andy got it back from the production company, at a local Chicago area Mopar show with the WPC (Barrington Dodge dealer).
Yes, the interior was dyed/painted red, and as can be seen in my photo the red was already peeling away in a few areas such as the steering wheel.

If I remember correctly, one of the complaints by the owner was that the production company actually PAINTED the seats red, and left them like that when they were through with the car.

I was just thinking of that as I read the piece noting the C convert. If I remember correctly, it was a horror show as far as what they did to the car.
