The Buick engine paint is still available from Bill Hirsch https://www.hirschauto.com/AEROSOL-ENGINE-ENAMEL/productinfo/EEA-SPRAY/ I haven't tried it, but he has quality paint.

Cummins Apex Red was agreed upon as a quality spray-can replacement for the Buick Red - for certain rams and wheelcovers - 20 or so years ago when Buick Red became no longer available in spray cans. I don't remember anyone using a Ford red

This makes me curious: is there that much difference between “Buick Engine Red” (which I thought we used for the red on one of the G/H/J wheel covers - I always forget which is black vs. red); “Ford Engine Red” (which looks similar); and the “Cummins Diesel Red”? FYI -

I stopped by my local Cummins Engine facility today to pick up spray cans of their Cummins Engine Red - 2 cans for me and 2 for Andy Mikonis. Was a little surprised to see the price had bumped up from the (tax included) $9.63 I had paid in February '12 to today's pricing of $23.64 per spray can. Will be freshening up the rams on my F.
