We were indeed privileged to see the Chrysler Historical Collection, thanks to John's 'connections.' 

 

The book 'Chrysler Concept Cars 1940-1970' by David Fetherston and Tont Thacker is a great read. Most of the photos are in black and white, but there are also some color ones. A couple other great reads are 'Virgil Exner, Visioneer' by Peter Grist, and 'Chrysler's Turbine Car' by Steve Lehto. Lehto mentions the Frank Kleptz Turbine Car, now owned by the Stahl Museum and the one we saw there Friday morning. I think the only glitch of our Meet was when the Turbine Car wouldn't fire up, as its dual battery setup wasn't charged enough to start it. We all anxiously awaited seeing it fire up!

 

What a wonderful turnout we had. John hit a grand slam homer with this Meet! Glad Barb and you enjoyed it, as we all did. Now, on to planning our next Meet.

I heard plenty of good comments about each event you planned and lined up.  For me, the expanded collection of Mopars at the old Viper plant was the best.   Maybe there is a book available showing all the Chrysler Concept cars, but I saw plenty of new ones to me in that great collection.

Sure was great seeing everyone after all this time, and also great making some new friends.
