When replacing the fuel sending unit, it is best to “bench” test the unit before installing it and driving (I bought a new tank for my 300C and the fuel sending unit came with the new tank. I ran out of gas on the busy busy freeway; the gauge read half full). Check the unit with an ohmmeter: it should read a whole bunch of ohms when the float is in the empty position, and just a few ohms when the float is in the full position. Next, assuming you have the tank out of the car (with the 300C, you have to remove the tank to change the fuel sending unit) install the unit in the tank and check to make sure the float goes all the way to the bottom of the tank and all the way to the top of the tank. Then check to make sure the fuel pickup is at the bottom of the tank. Attach an extension wire from the fuel sending unit wire in the car to the “bench” tank and fuel sending unit. Ground the tank and watch the fuel gauge as you run the float from the bottom of the tank to the top to make sure the gauge is kopasetic with the new fuel sending unit. This seems like a lot of work but it is worth it, in my opinion, in the long run or…. make sure your AAA roadside is current. I learned that some of the fuel sending units (with helpful coaching from John Grady) can be one-size-fits-all generic and not so compatible with our specific Chryslers. This is a made in USA which many of the others don't offer. I'd suggest you check with them to see if they can assist. https://mykmlifestyle.com/ John Lazenby On Thursday, July 22, 2021, 05:03:07 PM PDT, 'Michael J Falcone' via Chrysler 300 Club International <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Has anyone purchased a new fuel tank sending unit recently and recommend a supplier. I have seen several available on the internet.
