I checked the archives, and didn’t find any special setting guidelines for the torsion par adjustment. I have rebuilt the front suspension, installed new OEM HD torsion bars as the manual described and with one inch of threads showing as the initial setting as the service manual described, the car was down on the rubber bumpers! I adjusted the bolts up to the level shown at 1 1/8”, and I have about one inch above the bumpers now. Have any others found that the bolts extend even further than this to have the car level adjusted properly? I seem to remember that the one inch of thread setting was where my bolts were at before, and the car sat at the recommended height. I ask now as I am getting ready to take the car back off of the jack stands. If I need to pull it apart, I would rather do it now!
