I purchased and installed one of the light shields on the back of the instrument panel of our ’64 300K.. As it may be missing on some cars, I offer this little note of explanation. The light bright white cardboard is die-cut, assembled with staples and placed on the back of the HVAC switch. It is mainly to bring the light from as single bulb that snaps into the panel chassis and illuminates the clock and the HVAC push buttons—all the while minimizing light loss to the back of the chassis. The single bulb that illuminates the HVAC push buttons and the clock is dimmed with the rest of the panel bulbs, transmission selector/pushbuttons and radio lights.
I know—more than you needed to know.
If you have not already done so, run up the flag of our country and illuminate it if flying it after dark. God bless America.
