I believe Gary Goers tried for years to get these reproduced and in the end, struck out as providers let him down—even after dies were made. He or the new outfit may still have the dies. I purchased the repro plates for our ’55 C-300 and found them attractive but not as substantial/stiff as the original. Possibly different alloy and/or thickness. Beautiful but a little flimsy and I may have crinked one trying to fit it over the windlaces. Question of judges: Should these plates be polished or did they come from the factory with the hazy flat anodized (?) finish? Rich Barber Brentwood, CA. Decent dash hand grabs along with headlight rings.
