The difference I've found is that on 1955 and earlier the cam gear attaches to the cam with one bolt threaded into the camshaft. 1956 and later the cam was modified with a larger flange on the cam gear end and was attached with three smaller bolts. The chains are interchangeable. Years ago I was able to purchase the early type at a local parts store but as I said, that was years ago.

maybe better put chains are the same . Hot heads would have those and know sprocket interchange too
I'm searching
for 1955 Chrysler or Desoto crankshaft sprocket (1324951) and camshaft sprocket
(1324952). Egge has the crank sprocket, but their shipping charges are
outrageous.
