RE: {Chrysler 300} Vacuum Door Locks

Wondering why and when vacuum door locks were dropped for two-door coupes and convertibles and relegated to four-door bodies only. Imperials had electric door locks on all bodies in ’64, at least.

I had a 1961 Fury convertible that also had the vacuum door locks. It also originally had the Sonoramic engine, but it was replaced with a slant 6, probably in the early 70's. But it still had the cross-ram inner fenders.

I have seen several Fs with it and I have a 60 Plymouth (of all things) with it.
