My 2 cents.....for what it’s worth. In 1966, I purchased a 1961 Chrysler New Yorker 2dr hardtop from a generic used car dealer. The car had 2 front seatbelts and none in the rear. The belts were not the lift up flap type to release the metal buckle. The belts were made of a fairly thick and stiff nylon-like fabric. You inserted one end through the clamping end, pulling it through to the desired snugness. Then at that point, you closed down the clamping end thereby locking the belt in place with several rows of grippers on the inside of the clamping end. Worked great. At that time in my life(20 years old) I did not check for Chrysler logos or part numbers. Thanks Guy Morice
