while I do not have a direct answer for you , I noticed that on several 57 dodge steering wheels I had while selecting which one to rebuild . Wondered why ? Did not want to redo wrong parts . If I remember right it is involved with how far around a corner you turn the wheel before it will snap back to off when you turn the other way , back to straight . It would seem any size would function to do that but this amount of turn would vary some . Again a caveat , it was a while ago . Try and see?
