you can beat them with a stick . how about “el capitan” os “ no longer supported”  2k$ big screen white laptop made a lot of noise  hitting bottom of trash can . My trash can !

Using a Mac Pro Laptop (mid 2009) so it's 12 years old.

I use my iPhone 7+ as a hotspot. That is my internet connection.

File opened instantly, covered the 32" screen I use for a monitor and was sharp.
